I found a live scorpion in Ziggy's litter box. What the FUCK. You'd think scorpions would avoid anything that smells like cats. It was also the litter box in my room and I've been stung by scorpions too many damn times to be comfortable with that. I know it comes with living in the desert, but those little bastards' stings hurt like balls.

Hey, DNA Sequencing Lab: where's my trace? I'm sitting and spinning until it gets back to me, and this is taking a while. I want to at least get SOMETHING done before I leave for LA.

Oh yeah: I'm leaving for LA sometime this weekend, maybe Monday, for two weeks-ish. Just a heads-up in case anybody needs me before then. And if you're going to Anime Expo / are in the LA area, we should hang out. I'm staying with fabula_umbrae in Santa Monica, and it's going to be sexy.

When i was in Arizona we never had a scorpion in the house, it the pool yes. We found turantulas in our house! XP
