they have it as a day so that those that are hesitant can have more support.

At NAU we had a big demonstration where we taped off an area near the Union and state there with a sign saying it was coming out day and what not. It was fun. And also some people that were in the closet came to the prism meetings and started getting help and support....SO it is a good thing to have IMHO ^.^
