Burton's Alice in Wonderland reminds me a lot of The Looking Glass Wars for some reason. Maybe it's the war aspect.

That being said, I dislike Depp's Mad Hatter character design. I was so excited when I heard Burton was doing Alice. Sounded orgasmic. Now that I've seen the result, I'm disappointed. I was expecting more Nightmare Before Christmas and Edward Scissorhands and less Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as an aesthetic inspiration.

I used to have a huge crush on Johnny Depp. Not Jack Sparrow Depp or Fear and Loathing Depp, but Sleepy Hollow Ichabod Craine, specifically. That aesthetic. Antiquated nerdy with a good gothic influence.
