I'm like a billion years behind on LJ. Sorry.
GUYS.
GUYS.
...GUYS.
LOOK AT THIS FUCKING RELEASE DATE.
IT IS IN LIKE A WEEK I CAN'T HANDLE THIS. I don't know if I want to just order it from Amazon now, or go to the game store next Tuesday. Also, Valentine's Day release LOL. Except I have three midterms the following week. Fuck my life.
I think I need to write more. It's been a year. A full year. I can't believe this the Summer ofLove 2008 when I was spending hours a day reading the KinkMeme and producing 300+ pages in three months seems so recent, and now I'm grossly behind on everything in this fandom.
So is Naoto/Kanji, but I haven't done anything creative in that arena, and I don't think making a costume counts.
I've been on semi-hiatus (unannounced) as of late. Kind of. What with grad school interviews (just did UCLA~! I saw
skuldchan and
fabula_umbrae and Hillel, faggotry good times were had by all, even if it was for all of two hours) and honors thesis and poster symposium and graduating and other bullshit this semester. Oh, and I have to do my scientific public outreach project, which is going to come after thesis defense in March. Anybody want to contribute to that? It's about the real science behind science fiction and fantasy. Articles are at a laypublic (easy) reading level.
Also, I stand by my facebook status: "We Are the Champions" isn't about sports, the same way "Bicycle Race" isn't about bicycles and "Fat Bottomed Girls" isn't about girls. Which is why I get a huge, sadistic kick out of seeing homophobic jocks sing along with it. This was mostly in Texas at football games.
I still think Bohemian Rhapsody is about AIDS. I don't care if the time period doesn't match up. Queen can go back in time with the power of fabulous.
What the fuck, Dexter? This is the second ad you've done that's shown up on the feminist radar. Both for Dodge. What is this. I'm so disappointed. Not as disappointed as I am in Johnny Depp. I think my heart's been broken.
Ground control to Major Tom?.
Yeah, homework.

After so long, and we finally heard another release of the Ace Attorney franchise! I want to see more Phoenix, though.
And, I totally feel for you on the write more dealio. Since school started, I haven't been able to get back to my own stuff. I need to rework a lot of things.
Also, Naoto can forget it. Kanji's mine <_< He's so easy to tease, it's adorable! Thank god I'm only 5 years older than him. Otherwise, I'd sound like a sick old perv right now. Good luck with your thesis. And, I'd LOVE to help out with the sci public outreach project (if I have time). I'm actually gonna do a review on Soylent Green (due April 8 for me), discussing the real science involved in the film and people's perspective of science during the mid-1900s. The instructor suggested that we get second opinions from other people, too, to write a more well-rounded review. Would you think this works?

I'm trapped in my apartment by Articuno's blizzard attacks. He has only used it twice this week, and it's already enough to make my school cancel classes for 3 consecutive days.
Normally, I'd LOVE the days off, but seeing as there's an exam on Cell Bio next Monday, and the prof can't give two lectures already, I'm kind of worried. I can only go so far studying on my own at home. I'm hoping she'll push back the exam date (please please please please)
Someone from our school did this spoof. I lol'd hard: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3n9nNA7RKug
Because, see, originally, Hopkins didn't want to cancel classes this Monday. But, eventually, they caved.

Now I rage. I could not hit THUMBS DOWN hard enough for my life, man.
Queen songs are... awesomely sneaky and amazing and they are still the best power ballads ever.

I hope the UCLA interviews went well, the professors were duly engaging, and the food and drink budget was sufficient to properly wine and dine you.
Having missed the Super Bowl, I missed that ad, but I am seeing the Dockers "BE A MAN" ads plastered all over the subways and bus stops. All questions of sexism aside, I'm not sure how the negative emotional association of having my masculinity challenged is going to increase my odds of buying their clothing.
