COLBERT
I'm assuming this means Stephen Colbert, the man who will bring America and sexy back at the same time. He's funny as hell. He's smart, in a faux-dumb way. And he is America. Besides, a man who gets himself invited to the White House Correspondents' Dinner and gets to troll the fuck out of the president, while said president is two meters away, is a badass.
science
I'm majoring in biochemistry. I'm applying to graduate school in biomedical sciences. I'm a student researcher in an immunology lab. I'm working on a cancer vaccine. We do what we must, because we can, for the good of all of us--except the ones who are dead. And there are a lot of people who have died from cancer. But there's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake. And the science gets done, and you make a gene gun, for the people who are still alive. My data hasn't been amazing in the past three years. I've been burned quite a few times in that regard. But as of late, these points of data make a beautiful line, my thesis's near complete; I'm defending on time. So I'm glad I got burned. Think of all the things I learned for the people who are still alive.
I'm doing science and I'm still alive.

My video game personality-doppelganger. Kind of frightening how close the resemblance is, especially compared to myself at 15 years of age.
Edgeworth the fabulous
Oh god I want to play this game so bad have to get through the exams next week first.
Edgeworth. A man that has intrigued me greatly. Bitchy, elitist, emotionally weak, appearance-obsessed, deeply damaged and unstable. Brilliant, forceful, intimidating, likes tea. OTP with Phoenix. Chemistry is amazing.
And, yes, Hillel did stuff my pants with a rolled up sock at YCon 2008 when I was dressed as Edgeworth.
The way we will do science in the twenty-first century. The scientific method gets in the way of Truth. Soon we will evolve far enough as a society to realize this.
I saw Jonathan Coulton (with Paul and Storm) Thursday night at the Madcap in Tempe. Fucking amazing concert. Wasn't expecting it to be acoustic, though. Some songs work very well as acoustic cuts; some didn't have the same impact. Still an amazing show. If you have the chance to see him in your own town during this tour, do it. It's worth it.
