It's the simple things in life
Aug. 30th, 2005 09:30 pmThere are few things so satisfying as driving down a dark street at 9 PM on a week-night and blasting an industrial techno remix of "Take on Me" when it has the good grace to show up on 96.9 FM. With the windows down.
I realize I wasn't even alive when most of the music I love was recorded.
Regarding Hurricane Katrina: if only there were some way to channel the Arizona hella-hot sunlight to the deep southern seaboard, the water might evaporate that much more quickly, and maybe it would cool off over here. In all seriousness, my heart goes out to everybody living in that part of the country right now. CNN was playing in half of the classrooms today, so I got a good, thorough look at all of the destruction.
