I am the wizard of the MATH.
Apr. 20th, 2006 10:05 pmSo, I'm off to Calculus Camp until Sunday, starting bright-and-fucking-early tomorrow morning. Stay out of trouble until I get back.
I forgot to mention that we had a fire in the 300 building onMonday Tuesday (I done remember good). Somebody(s) was smoking in the gentlemen's lavatory and forgot to snuff out his cigarette completely before throwing it away. You can see where this went. We sat in the classroom for a good 30 seconds looking around after the alarm went off, wondering if it was going to be followed by the usual "Do not leave your classrooms; we are just testing the system" response to unanticipated alarms. It was after we had been waiting outside and the fire trucks came that we realized that it was not a drill. Of course, this had to be the day I had my birth certificate and passport in the building, given that I was going to the passport office. Here in Arizona we have classes in separate buildings, so the fire wasn't even in the same building, and within the 300 building it didn't get to any other rooms anyway, but it was an ironic concept. We initially thought this fire in the science building just had to be because of a chem lab, or because of Brandt finally setting a student on fire.
And, apparently, Berkeley doesn't allow freshmen to take single dorms. Given my reclusive tendencies and love of my space, that is one hell of a disincentive.
