Pre-con run-around
Gabriel's Edgeworth costume is almost done. I just need to redo the jacket and find a wig somewhere in the next two days. I need to fix my Phoenix wig--it's too vertically-spiky, not swept back-spiky like his. I got a wig so I can do Oosaki Nana, who I've wanted to cosplay for quite a while. I need to get some fake piercings for that one, too. And red lipstick. And fishnet knee-highs and a garter belt. Everything else I have.
Oh, and "Sculpey stays soft until you bake it" is bullshit. Mine crumbled in my hands when I tried to make the attorney badge and the magatama. Shopping tomorrow. Oh, and Kinko's for OBJECTION signs.
My big computer keeps crashing every time I try to run video editing software. Yes, I've done all the spyware-virus-defrag-shut down needless process crap already; I need to fix a DVD for Mom's office. It's starting to piss me off. That damn computer has 2 gigs of RAM; this should not be happening.
New Year's Eve was pleasantly-spent at Laila's, as it was last year. Again, as with Christmas, it feels as though I was just there celebrating the coming of the year 2007. I have no idea where 2007 went, but for lack of better phrasing, it sucked major ass as one huge extension of the end of 2006. But, unlike 2006, which was both incredible and then heart-rendingly painful, 2007 was one consistent plateau of suck, aside from the arrival of Ziggy and securing my internship at Biodesign. Here's to hoping 2008 is better.
And, oh, yeah, straight A's is my resolution, and getting my experiments off the ground. And writing more on my original novel. Maybe I can finish it and become a Huge Published Author soon enough that I won't have to worry about graduate school or getting a real job or anything useful like that.
