People say good things about American Gods. I have yet to pick it up, but right now I just want to re-read Memoirs of a Geisha. It was a beautiful novel and the girl who turns into a geisha is rather charming. Ziyi Zhang might be Chinese but she's a gorgeous woman and I think she'll do a good job for the movie.
