I am the wayfarer, free as the breeze.

As a graduation present, Mom and Dad gave me a sterling silver necklace with the Kanji for "journey" on the coin-charm.

Even though I promised myself I wouldn't be a total girl and cry tonight, my eyes got moist. But I couldn't stop grinning. There is something amazing about realizing that your parents understand you and your nature, instead of getting you a stereotypical present that just does not suit your personality at all and you would politely hide away somewhere.

Everybody keeps telling me this is the beginning of something big for me. They really do believe it, don't they.

I need to get dressed now.

You better believe it, Lauren. You better believe it.

That sounds like a most awesome, as well as aptly fitting, graduation gift. Wear it with pride.

*SNUG* That is so awesome of your parents. And congrats on the graduating business! :D

Wow. That's really special :)

Congrats!

It's only the beginning of something big if you believe it is that.

I remember when I got my darling Hakkai as my graduation present. ♥

Ha ha. My parents are good about the "understanding my personality" thing too. Even if they aren't happy with it sometimes. Congrats on graduating.

BTW, I'm going to add you to my friends list. I've been kicking the idea around for a while now anyways. ^_^

I have to agree with everyone else--that's an awesome grad present for your parents to get you. Heheh, my eyes got moist too.

Is it all everything you've imagined?

You'll go far in life, Lauren. I certainly believe it.

I will. Thank you.

Thanks!

Thank you!

But of course, the whole self-fulfilled prophesy angle.

Hakkai is a fitting present.

[identity profile] trenchkamen.livejournal.com 2006-06-11 09:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Awesome. I've added you to mine.

Well, considering I imagined not much would change after graduation, yes, it is everything I imagined.

Thank you, Corey. And don't think you won't, either, because you will.
