Better late than never...

So, I realized that I never posted my Anime Expo pictures. Three months is never too late, is it...
Friday:

This costume has gotten Kaity (
keichisfuuma) so much recognition, which is well-deserved, since it kicks all ass. She's Ballroom Vash, by the way.

omg_daisuke and
akuma_no_mi, with younger sister Tara, mah J-Rock buddies from Azi-rona. Lauren (daisuke) is Kotani Kinya (the guy who sang almost every single song in Gravitation, Tara is Momiji from Fruits Basket, and I don't know what Alyson (Akuma) is.

All I want is some tail. Christianne (
chrissykitty) doesn't seem to concerned about it, or she's just standing back there watching me.

Vicky, my companion for the vast majority of the convention, as Yomiko from Read or Die. This was right before she sang "Think of Me" for her AX Idol audition. Yes, this was a coincidence.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's Annie (
xcerebraledemax), by the way, my darque schoolboy lovely wife.

Kaity, Will, and Jeremy as the various Vashes. Will and Jeremy ended up being our buddies for the convention. They stayed in one of the rooms the last night.

I don't remember this guy's name, but he kicked ass.

Friday group picture. Adrienne (
kaiye) is wearing Kaity's Fai coat, and Rachel is the awesome Alien-thing. She got so much well-deserved attention.

Yay, seme-man love. We're best friends, believe it or not. I swear.

Mark and James, respectively, pointing out the angry monkey. I met them at the dance Friday night and started up a conversation based on cosplay ("Hey, you were the Phantom"; "Hey, you're Subaru and Seishirou"), and they ended up going to Denny's with us. Vicky and I hung out with them into the wee hours of the morning. They had no idea there was such a manga as Tokyo Babylon, or that their characters aren't straight as arrows, until Vicky and I explained that to them at Denny's. They took it very well. It takes a real straight man to do that. I forgot to get their contact information, so if you guys are out there, say hi or something. You guys were cool.
Saturday:

I've adored Haruka and Michiru since sixth grade, and not only are these ladies gorgeous, their costumes kick ass.

Enough to turn me on to Saionji X Nanami.

This is for the guys at school. This was the bikini Leia. Brent said he was already familiar with this group--supposedly they do charity at quite a few functions. They were raising money for a children's hospital at Expo this year; don't know if that's always their deal. They all had absolutely perfect costumes and were patient with having their pictures taken with people. You see, this is the power of cosplay: saving lives!

HAH I GOT A PROTON PACK. I wish I had a picture of a Subaru standing with the Ghostbusters.

Thewhiney little bitch Anakin Sith Lord Vader. He didn't have a voice-altering thingmajib, so his voice was shockingly light and tenor. What's wrong with my necktie...

MATTHEW MATTHEW MATTHEW. It's Whitney (
jawzdharken) as her original character MATTHEW. You may remember her as the amazing Galian Beast from the past two Anime Expos and Anizona 1.

Oh, look. It's the picture that sums up all of Anime Expo 2005. Annie (
xcerebraledemax) was Hokuto, obviously, before her wig started bugging, and Christianne (
chrissykitty) did not do SuperGhetto!Subaru this year.

The amazing Tree-san. She was so nice and funny. The first time she saw me she yelled at me for neglecting her, and then demanded ukes and babies. The next time I saw her, she had Starbucks.

TRENCH KAMEN RULES THE NIGHT. She's just missing a trench at the moment, since it was hot and she was sick of wearing it around.

Kaity at the ballroom contest, where she won best female. That costume is going to be her meal ticket for a while.

I love Shoujo Kakumei Utena with a passion few people understand, and lo and behold, it's a Ballroom Utena. Gorgeous.
Sunday:

PIMP MARIO AND TOAD.

X-group picture, with a guest appearance by Tot (Alex, our ex-Arashi) from Weiss Kreuz. Order from left: Kuzuki Kakyou (Nick, who I honestly don't know well), Sakurazuka Seishirou (me), Sumeragi Subaru (Vicky, who abandoned her Watari costume to do a makeshift X-costume with us last minute) Shirou Kamui (Annie, or
xcerebraledemax, who for some reason took off her kickass white jacket), and Nekoi Yuzuriha (Whitney, or
jawzdharken, who looks feral in that picture). Our Monou Fuuma (Kaity, or
keichisfuuma) had to wear her Vash costume that day for a contest.

We all know who cracks the whip. That is a scary manic picture of Whitto.

Vicky + Annie + Me + Long line for Sakamoto Maaya + Pocky. I want Pocky right now. WHY IS MY EYE SO RED. I need to find some way around my astigmatism so I can get a blank contact. They're one-size-fits-all-people-with-normal-shaped-eyes. Problem.

Orgy. And, like the retard I am, I forgot to take my damn nametag off. Vicky looks like she's up to something...

Frog gives Kamui head. TAKE THAT, FUUMA.

After Annie abandoned her Kamui outfit, she went badass J-rocker on us. I think that's Chris's (K-Chris not Cousin Chris) jacket.
Monday:

Chris (or, as we call him per an inside joke, 'Cousin Chris') as Wizard Howl. This man is a manic cosplayer (he's at Ani-something right now as a supercharged Red Power Ranger), and he's my spiritual brother. He's visited Arizona a few times, and we've had some good, long talks. I miss hanging out with him.

I am so scoring it up today.

STEVE-O!!!, the hot Asian Wolfwood. He made two trips to get us all to a restaurant. All hail!

We're pretty hot, aren't we now. And no, Kaity does not wear glasses; I don't know where she got those. And no, Annie's hand is not where it looks like it is. It's on my collarbone. I still stand by what I say when I say that I got the most action out of Annie at Expo. She just wasn't serious about it.

ORGY.

Weird picture somebody got of me when my camera was 'borrowed'. My eyes get droopy and off-center like that when I'm tired.

HAH I HAVE THE JACKAL. Chrissy (
chrissykitty) tackled a poor Alucard for his props, and since he was a good sport, I thought "Why not..."

I'm a pretty princess, and you're all just jealous because you didn't get to wear the tiara.

Annie (
xcerebraledemax) dressed me up as the Mad Hatter (not of the Angel Sanctuary variety) before we went to that Chinese restaurant somewhere in Anaheim. I rather liked the result.

FOR ONCE I AM NOT THE DRIVER OMG. Piled into Steve-o's the car to go to the Chinese restaurant. That lovely lady is DJ"IT'S NOT DJ" Kaity (
keichisfuuma). This was shortly before I scratched up my phone because we were having seme-manly-man competitions in the parking lot and I ended up crashing into the asphalt. She moved out of the way. I should have been ready for that.

The amazing elven piano player. He says everything he was doing that afternoon was improvisation. Kaity and I listened to him while we waited for Steve-o to pick us up.

Go, Adrienne, go. That's a Yuri-Paddle, by the way.
Tuesday:

If you've been to a convention, this should look familiar.

We are such slobs.

This was taken while I was still asleep and Kaity (
keichisfuuma) had stolen my camera. Supposedly Annie is laying down the law for our gentleman callers.

It takes a real straight man to wear the uke-shirt. Jeremy's a good sport.

Adrienne (
kaiye) with a Domo-kun from her gentleman companion for the convention. She's so cute.

You all know who wears the pants.

...or do you?
