Guess that Friend

In my defense, the two entries I got wrong were "Uh-huh" and "Suck", or something to that effect. One-phrase entries.

SATs went pretty well. Math didn't go as well as I had anticipated, and US History, which I ended up taking as my third, was a bad idea since I was asked several 'identity' questions on acts I just flat-out don't remember. I should have done literature instead, though I try to steer clear of the subjective subjects as much as possible on standardized tests. Chemistry was cake; 90 questions in 40 minutes, no problem. I owe Mr. Brandt a retroactive cupcake or something for being such a relentless slavedriver a good teacher.

I rented Hannibal and the first disc of season one of House, M.D. on the way home, the latter being because [livejournal.com profile] keichisfuuma said Dr. House has all of my faults, amplified, and I must admit that I am curious as to what she means by that.

Past three hours went into photographing Mom's new products, since she (rightfully) doesn't want to spend upward of a thousand dollars to get them photographed professionally. My father drives me absolutely insane sometimes; by the end of the duration, I wanted to kill him. He's dictatorial and autocratic and he thinks he's right about everything, and that everybody else needs to have the most elementary things explained to him or her several times.

I hope to goodness I'm not his clone like my mother keeps saying I am, because I couldn't see how anybody could stand me if I was.

[livejournal.com profile] xcerebraledemax just came over to get her coat, and we had torrid, passionate sex a good talk while I polished the dirt and grime from the rocket project out of my boots. This is making me realize that when college comes around, I will probably be going elsewhere from my close friends, and I do not like the idea of that. I've finally found friends I truly never want to lose; the idea of being hundreds of miles away, unable to just drive over and lay on somebody's floor and talk with L'arc~en~Ciel playing in the background, is melancholy. There's always the internet, but I like being able to talk to people, look into their eyes and be in the same room, read their body language and feel their mental states. The phone is the intermediary step between Real Life and t3h internets, but truth to be told, I hate the phone. I don't know why.

But every high school senior goes through this, and it is not the first or the last time I will go through an uprooting.

*Tacklecling hugs* ;~;

This is why we need to invent a real-life teleporter. Seriously. Because.... because I think the world will explode if we don't.

We will not lose touch. None of us. We can't.

*clings more for good measure*

Instead of chocolate, people! But then we would be bite-sized little things.

I hate the phone, too....

Haha, I suck as a friend 8D

My mother always says I'm a clone of my father, which isn't a good thing. They're divorced and I never really saw him, but she says that I say the same things as he'd say and whatnot. I'm lazy, forgetful, and curious to a fault among other things, haaa.

Oh. And, yeah, it does seem like every high school senior goes through this. You may think it's the end of the world if you won't get to see your best friends now, but it really isn't. It's very easy to move on forward. Well, was for me, at least. But I've changed schools every three or four years, so... I guess if you've lived there your whole life or some other lengthy period of time it's a bit more difficult.

I've moved six times and have been to seven different schools, three of those being different junior high schools in three consecutive years. It's difficult, but people really do adapt.

Your icon makes me guilty!happy. I'm a shameless Kamui/Subaru shipper.

Ooh, that's tough. So you should be used to it, right? Still, it's hard to leave people sometimes? I'm a bad friend, really. I don't have much attachment for people as far as leaving them ._.

Haha! Kamui/Subaru? Yes, it's very cute! I like S/K and S/S, but S/S slightly more. I'm losing my taste for the whole Seishirou/Subaru dynamic, though. I'm not impressed anymore ;_; My OTP is Fuuma/Subaru 8D But no one ever ships that but me, haha...!

I've seen a decent amount of Fubaru fare; what is lacking is good Fubaru fare. The Subaru/Seishirou dynamic for me is not about impression; it's about the long story and the chemistry, the whole package, really.

You've seen Fubaru fare? Can you show me? :O And, well...I don't know. S/S is just so overdone that it's become boring to me. Haha, I have a short attention span like that. I don't know. It's like...there's nothing new or interesting there. People are writing the same things and I know there are only so many ways to do it, but still...huh.

As I was telling Tanuki-dono, I like Seishirou and Subaru together best when they're apart 8D That, to me, is more interesting.

Honestly, I don't remember the specifics. It wasn't that good, so I did not file it away to memory. I think the Yuuzai ladies took a couple of cosplay pictures here and there hinting toward Fubaru, but that is the only specific I can pull off the top of my head.

My problem is Subaru/Seishirou fandom is not so much that it is overdone, but that all the fare is getting repetitive. The problem lies in the fans, not the couple; I'll read any story for any pairing that's a good story, new and fresh and imaginative and well-written. I can only read so many stories of Subaru rambling on about how he loves and hates Seishirou ("for how can that be; he killed my sister!"), which is indeed an issue and something on Subaru's mind, but god can't you address a single other issue? A couple of bad S/S fanfics have shown up on [livejournal.com profile] ficbitch_anon, and that’s probably my fault.

Hah, Subaru and Seishirou together apart. Try writing 250+ pages of a single story where they don't speak to each other once. I really need to finish that...

Haha, I just don't feel it. But anyway...I totally agree with you about the getting a new issue thing; Subaru has tons more for fans to choose from, after all XD

...And that, dear [livejournal.com profile] trenchkamen is one of the many, many things that makes A Perfect Circle so awesome :3

As someone who has just moved hundreds of miles away from her closest friends... yeah, it sucks big time. In fact, I am so incredibly puny I am considering dropping out and starting again next year at somewhere closer to home. But that's unrelated to the friend issue, so don't think I'm a horror story or anything.

In conclusion to this incredibly unhelpful comment: If you drift apart from your friends, it will probably be because you don't miss them. Hopefully.

I, too, am a clone of my father. Only, you know, I have a prettier nose.

Well, after a while you don't miss certain people; there is no all-encompassing answer.

Hang in there at school. It may suck for a seemingly endless time, but things will look up if you allow yourself time to settle in.

I think the SAT is one of the most annoying things that man has ever created, but I'm sure you did well.

House is an awesome show. It's the only program on TV that I will drop what I'm doing to go watch. I kid you not. =P

I'll be mailing your birthday present soon. ^_^
