I'm going to make the Hobohodou hat if it kills me, because damned if I can find it for sale anywhere else (CAPCOM's website has stopped listing it), and it would make it more personal anyway, if less professional.

Things I know how to knit:

I've heard knitting a hat in the round isn't so hard, but my round needles have a fairly wide diameter, and I have a small head. Ideally I want something secure enough to wear, I dunno, skiing or whatever if I ever go again; it's been what like eight years, but not so cloying I can't wear it eleven months out of the year in Phoenix. LOL I said 'in Phoenix' I am as sure as hell not knitting the "PaPa" into the weave itself; I can sew that on retroactively, I guess. Hopefully it won't look too ghetto.

Or maybe looking closer at the picture I should sew it out of fabric.

Do you remember Labeth from the Nekomusume forums, she was Buford's girlfriend (now wife)? She's big into knitting and could probably help you out with patterns and such.

impure_impulse has all the hats right now, so you'd need to talk to her about it. The hats were bought from WalMart, the PaPa is felt that's been glued on, and the buttons are printed but then stuck inside button casing, so they're nice (and also detachable! :D) So talk to her about prices and such if you're interested. If you really want to make your own, that's cool too.
