"You shouldn't lie to us."

Right, since Physical Chemistry doesn't start for half an hour and I'm sick of biochem homework and Japanese. SOLUR got canceled and I have no desire to go back to the lab in the meantime. My first SDS-PAGE came out perfectly, though, so booyah. The grad student who's done a billion of those was impressed, and she's not liberal with compliments, so when she says it, she means it.

I found a pair of boxer-briefs draped over my bike the other morning. I did the ethical thing and draped them over the bike next to mine instead. When I came back, somebody had thrown them on the concrete ledge around the so-called "garden" (really, it's more a mulch patch). They were still there as of this morning. I wonder if the owner will ever try to claim them. I suspect he was drying them on his balcony above the bike racks and the wind caught them up, but I can think of over 9000 better stories than that. Let my head-canon be.

Somebody tell me why the laundry room does not have a change machine. It's a coin laundry that only takes quarters. Quarters are like gold in university. I still need to go find more quarters. I'm running out of underwear. No, I will not take a chance on the ones I found on my bike.

I got sniped on eBay for an aluminum briefcase (cosplay pro~op) that was going for $2, and that pissed me off. God damn slow ASU wireless.

I couldn't sleep, so I was up until 4 AM playing Final Fantasy Star Wars XII (I know; I'm so hideously behind in gaming). That game is far more addictive than it has any right to be. And Disgaea: Hour of Darkness comes out for the DS on the 23rd, so I'm excited about that.

I saw Elegy on Friday night. It was good, but damn it was depressing. Also finally saw the first part of Azumanga Daioh (yeah, I know everybody else has seen it) and the first arc of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, which is just fucking awesome and actually managed to creep me out a little bit, and that is saying something.

Fucking hell I don't want to go to class. PhysChem is agonizingly boring.

He needs to be between my legs like RITE NAO.

A lot of the dorms have a change machine by the front desk. I guess they don't trust people with them in the laundry room.

Not this dorm.

Hahah I haven't seen Azumanga yet. I also only managed to play FFXII for... idk, 20 hours or so before I threw up my hands in frustration and quit.

[identity profile] trenchkamen.livejournal.com 2008-09-10 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
Really? I think it's pretty damn easy.

[identity profile] miwasatoshi.livejournal.com 2008-09-10 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
I was thinking, FFXII isn't bad. FFX-2? THAT was bad! X-D

[identity profile] ja-baby-ja.livejournal.com 2008-09-09 07:24 am (UTC)(link)
I'm right at the end of FFXII after 70hrs, staring at one huge fuck-off dungeon before what I assume is going to be the boss. Idk, I have a total love-hate relationship with this game. The story and characters got me, but damn if the difficulty curve isn't so fucking punishing that I keep having to drop everything and put in about 5hrs of level grinding - which means I actually keep forgetting whereabouts in the story I even was.

The boxer-briefs story made me giggle. I kind of miss living in halls and having all those tiny weirdnesses happen. One day I found a traffic cone neatly perched on top of the 15ft high lamppost outside my college gate. No ladders or fences nearby. It sort of looked like someone had managed to frisbee it there from their room window. Who knows.

[identity profile] trenchkamen.livejournal.com 2008-09-10 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
Baaah, there are too many games where I stopped at the last dungeon for a while. I'm currently going to look for the king's sword or some shit like that. I just met Al-Cid.

I have seen the weirdest shit in the dorms.

I'm pretty that, at least this time, they weren't mine. :3

You mean you weren't hanging out a Towers window drunk off your ass?
With your tits bouncing?

Unf.

SDS-PAGE is a good skill to have. Get some trypsin digestions in there and you could work at a biochemistry core facility.

Now, we just need to get you some mass spec experience.

So, what are you studying in P-chem? Have you gotten to kinetics yet?

[identity profile] trenchkamen.livejournal.com 2008-09-10 08:36 am (UTC)(link)
I know I'm going to have to do trypsin digests at some point in the future. Not entirely sure when.

And P-chem is just ideal gas laws and van Der Waals gases right now. No, really. It's lame.

A professor of mine once said, "I didn't understand Thermo until I took it the third time."

1. Gen Chem
2. P-chem
3. Grad school Thermo <-Insight!
