These are the best days of our lives

Guys? That special water bottle you got me has gone 'missing', and I fear my father found it in my car.
I was in a low mood when Kaity (
keichisfuuma) called me Friday afternoon to ask me where I was. I knew what was coming.
"Home," I said.
"Great. That's greaaat. You just stay there, okay?"
"Right. When you get lost, call me."
"Who said I'm coming to you?"
An hour and a half later I was napping and Annie called me, asking me what I was doing. I said I had been reading. She guessed I had been sleeping. She was right. Somebody started ringing my doorbell. Kaity was outside in a cowboy hat, speaking with a bad twang. Annie (
xcerebraledemax), Alex, Tracye (
white_manjushri), and Whitney (
jawzdharken) were also outside, all in party hats.
This does not bode well.
I thought we were going to Rawhide. Kaity said, no, we're not going to Rawhide.
Kaity took my keys and backed my car out of the garage while I got dressed. By the time I got outside, my car had been defiled. As in, flying-rocket-penises on my windows and the word "UKE" written no less than three times, and "birthday" written just as often. I negotiated to get the streamers off my car if I actually had to drive it. This was after Kaity had shoved my hands full of penis-shaped lollipops, penis-shaped bubblegum, penis-shaped gummy candy, and an ugly, veiny, penis-shaped water bottle.
She required me to put glow-sticks in said water bottle and carry it around all evening. I kept it in my coat pocket.
After getting hideously lost on I-60 trying to find This Mysterious Place (which I knew to be of the farm variety due to Kaity's ridiculous twang and cowboy hat and Annie mentioning "going to a farm", and, lo and behold, it was), we arrived. By this point I was awake and had loosened up significantly. Whitney and I looked for The Scarecrow (of the specific variety) in the corn maze, to no avail. We rode the train, and Annie held my hand because it was scary. We danced past the banjo-band. We looked in various shops. We went through the lame-as-hell acid-trip, day-glo, 3D haunted house (sponsored by News Channel 3). We climbed stacks of hay bales. We roasted marshmallows and jumped over the mosquito-infested canals.
Since food was ridiculously expensive at the farm, we drove to Denny's, where I saw
hilorain and several Saguaro football players. We were sitting in one of the semi-circular corner booths, with my back to two football players who were making various jokes and laughing the entire time. The one comment I picked up, since I was closest, was that our group contained "rug munchers" (I know exactly what tipped him off; it's not hard to tell), and that this was very funny. I turned around to see who it was; it was a guy I had in my Spanish I class two years ago.
I asked him who won the game. Saguaro won, apparently.
Tracye had to go home after that, and despite some run-around Adrienne couldn't join us after she got off work, which made me sad. Long story short we ended up at my house for DDR and general conversation, which is where Alex gave me the best card in the entire world. She had a picture from AX 2004 I knew had been taken, but had never seen developed, and it caught me off guard. I'll say it involved me, Kaity, cosplay, and a yaoi paddle, and leave it at that.
Apparently Annie had a car-journey of her own that involved a five-foot ditch and getting very much lost, but that is her tale to tell.
In all honesty, you guys completely made my night, and thank you for going through all that trouble just to drag my ass out of town and have some good, clean, eighteenth-birthday fun. I had a blast. I love all of you guys.
