trenchkamen: (Ride of your life)
The Pokemon marathon on Cartoon Network this evening (and the entire weekend, it seems, though it's good I wasn't glued to the TV the whole time) has reminded me what a big, fat, vehement Rocketshipper I am. I've been a Rocketshipper since fifth grade. They were my first OTP upon descending into the wonderful world of Fandom. I love Jessie and James, I love their character dynamic, and I find their relationship fascinating on multiple levels. They're utter losers at everything they try (though, oddly, at least one member of the team is an engineering genius), and yet they always have each other. How could life be bad when you always have somebody by your side like they do, through thick and thin, no matter what? To espouse the very true cliché, that is the most precious thing anybody can attain in this life.

And by "Rocketshippy" I don't mean flowers-and-rainbows, terrible melodrama, etc etc, per some definition I heard on the Fandom Wiki or Fandom Wank or something indicating that inherent in "Rocketshipping" is a penchant for Weepy!Jessie and ManlyMan!James. No thank you. Get out of my fandom. James is a goofy, airheaded spaz and Jessie is a woman from hell. I like them that way.

I really want to make a Rocketshippy layout or write Rocketshippy stuff or something now.

And tell me this isn't cute (Jessie and James, not Butch and Cassidy at the bottom). And this and this. (Yes, it's all tasteful and work-safe, though the rest of the site has contents that are not.) There are a lot of cute fanart / doujin pictures of Team Rocket, but Jessie ALWAYS has the tits of doom. I know she's a well-endowed girl in canon, but Jesus, I fail to see what is arousing about baby-bottle nipples poking every which-way atop physically-impossible jugs. Maybe that's just me.

So between scorn for Cori Falls-esque fiction and thunder jugs, I’m kind of screwed, huh. Time to go hunting.
