I think I had an ovarian cyst this weekend. It seems to fit the symptoms best--sudden, nauseating pain with no herald or traumatic cause (that I can recall), and then suddenly gone. I'm still getting odd little twinges in my lower back, but God damn, it feels good to feel good again. That was not fun.

My supervisor said the lab was going to take me to birthday lunch on Friday. I feel so awkward, but at the same time flattered they would do that for the youngest part-timer. It's refreshing to be around the laboratory; it makes me feel I am doing something worthwhile here.
