I know my parents are worried about me driving by myself to LA. That's just a parent thing.
But my dad's back-asswards way of expressing that is to print out MapQuest maps of LA, staple them onto cardboard, and highlight I-10 on all of them (note: I-10 is a dead straight shot from Phoenix to LA; it is idiot-proof).
My mom came in when he handed them to me just so she could see the look on my face.
I love my family, really.
I desperately need to finish packing. I was supposed to be on the road an hour ago.
