trenchkamen: (Wow.)
In a Facebook argument about legalizing homosexual marriage, with a Christian conservative citing the slippery-slope:

Guy: Would you deny two consenting 16 year olds from adding to your 'love'.. how about a 16 and an 18 year old?

Me: As I said above about the mental and emotional maturity of some individuals this age. Brother, when you condemn this exact age spread, even as an example, you are condemning me. An arbitrary age of consent separated me and my boyfriend--and I was the older one. I do not consider myself a rapist. The law is not morality, and in this case, I deemed that the law's mandate was not in line with my own evaluation of what was ethical.

Guy: Your situation is a perfect example. Thank you for demonstrating my point better than I was able to so far. People might think my arguments are 'slippery slope' but it appears that people are slipping on that slope. Now, if your situation was different, only in the sense that your relationship was homosexual, then you would be a prime candidate for membership in Nambla.

I'm having trouble breathing, I'm laughing so hard.
