I just went through 400+ back-entries for LJ. If I missed something you wanted me to see, notify me, because I very well may have missed it. This is what I get for putting off internets stuff for almost a week.
Anime Expo was interesting this year, though I went to no panels and therefore have no industry news to share. I sat at
fabula_umbrae's table a lot. I got my Naoto costume done, though I did not get any good pictures except for this one with the Prinny. I will need to do a decent photoshoot at some point. And get the right shoes. And get a buckle for my hat. You would think that would be easy. I also need to adjust the fit of the jacket, as it hugs my hips too tightly. If I cut slits up the side--which the character design seems to have anyway--it should relieve some of the strain. It was good to see
keichisfuuma,
white_manjushri, and
xcerebraledemax, the latter of whom is still one of the only people who can make me laugh so hard I start crying.
As for the drive back, well. And that isn't just tread separation; that's the tire having exploded from within. I limped halfway back to Phoenix on a doughnut tire. And it was 3:30 AM, so there were no tire stores open anywhere.
Other than that, let's just say it was a jarringly eye-opening weekend, but that's a strange and complicated story for a time when I'm not still at work.
