Ziggy has been displaying a lot of alpha behavior lately, which is a nice way of saying that he's being a real prick. He's been batting the older cats away from the food when they try to share, and this morning, when Bassy approached the cat fountain while Ziggy was drinking from it, he whacked her in the face, and she ran off. Somebody really needs to knock him down a peg. I doubt my cats are going to do it; Bassy is derpy as hell, and Whitey is quite possibly the sweetest and most unassuming creature on the planet. I think Ziggy is channeling Tiger.

Granddad left this morning. I'm always afraid whenever he leaves that it will be the last time I see him. He turned 87 yesterday, and for the first time in my life I saw him in a wheelchair at the airport and using a cane. I hope he can continue to live independently for the rest of his life.
