So, what does it say about me when Dr. Crane and Dr. Lecter are directly responsible for me considering psychiatry as a profession?

I know deep down the job would be nowhere near as glamorous and exciting as they make it, but I still like the idea of invoking psychology and peoples' innermost fears for my personal amusement.

I would get none patients and would revert to plan B of Being an Evil Overlord, but the police reports would still call me "Dr. Cook", and that's nifty.

I considered taking some kind of doctorate just so I would be alliterative. Doctor Dove. But then I would want to change my first name to something equally alliterative; I favour Diana or Davina.
It's like how I wish David Duchovny would go back to college (since he sure isn't WORKING much these days and I'm sure he could do it part-time around looking after the kids), get those last two or three credits and be Dr David Duchovny.
I don't want to be a bad wicked doctor who messes with people's heads, though. I'd tidy up their heads, like J.M. Barrie says mothers do for their sleeping children in Peter Pan & Wendy.

When it comes right down to it, I wouldn't either. I'd go too far in the opposite direction and worry myself over other peoples' problems.

I need to actually read Peter Pan.
