I somehow got to SomethingAwful.com from reading my pdf files on glycoscience, cross-referencing unfamiliar vocabulary on Wikipedia, and wiki-linking from selectins to ricin (I didn't realize it came from the castor bean, but I remember it was one of those campy James Bond novels Raymond Benson wrote back in the mid-ninteies I read in fifth grade) to anti-abortion terrorism. I learned a lot about stuff that will probably never, ever have any practical application whatsoever. But it's interesting to know nonetheless.

Christ, it's almost 5 AM and I'm still wide awake and I may be leaving the house in as little as four hours, weather and family schedules permitting. And I told hilorain I would watch Firefly.
