LAWL at Trials and Tribulations. It makes me realize my "I'm the Phoenix from Phoenix" jokes at ALA weren't THAT terrible.

History of Biology is made of fail. These essay questions are idiotic and repetitive. A lot of them require external knowledge of Victorian history to fully answer, and while I may have picked this stuff up, a lot of the class may not have.

Apparently Robert Grant was a flamer, and that makes me realize how isolated he must have felt in the 1840's in England. Poor guy. He wasn't a queen like Oscar Wilde, but he still had nowhere to turn for the comfort so many of us take for granted. On top of that, he was an atheist and evolutionist.

I think my boss is going to kill me if I don't start making more progress; I got the "productivity" talk and the pointed "you're a researcher now" (as opposed to apprentice) comment. It's not that I haven't been working. I just had a major hitch with contaminated results for a while there. I'm just eager to get results on the table so I can feel this get off my back.

Spring break can't get here soon enough.

Also, I didn't reserve a copy of Brawl, but I need to.

"I'm the Phoenix from Phoenix" is terrible, just so you know.

Also: History of biology could be very interesting. Why isn't it?

Also: Some of the people here are very excited about brawl, some people think it's a dumbed down version based on the Wii's apparent principle of fun over complexity. At least three people in this building seem to be buying it as soon as it comes out. What are your thoughts?

Also: Have a wonderful and fun spring break.

Well, it IS an interesting subject. I've just learned most of it through self-study and the teacher gives totally innane commentary that should be self-evident to anybody with logic.

And you too.
