I am determined to see snow this winter. I have not seen a real winter since 2000, and damn it, I miss it. I also miss a true autumn. Phoenix has the seasons hot, really fucking hot, tolerable, and nice. I miss cold mornings and seeing my breath as the sun is rising and colored leaves. Autumn is my favorite season for many reasons, and the weather is one of them, but a Phoenix winter is an autumn for the rest of the country. And then, I love the crisp cold of winter, a blanket of snow, and a frigid, vanilla sky followed by a cold blue twilight. You can SMELL snow; it is an amazing smell. Driving may be an entirely different story, but few things come without a price. I know my mom thinks I am certifiable as far as this is concerned--and a lot of other things, but that's neither here nor there.

Also, House season 5 starts tomorrow. I am full of excitement.

The storm was epic and fun. We pranced around like out-of-state-ers for a while, until it started hailing. It started flooding in Irish, because fallen leaves wound up clogging the drainage pipe. I wound up digging around in the water until I was able to remove a great number of leaves (just about every leaf in the courtyard had drifted to it) and then the water levels receded. It was fun, like building dams in reverse.

I am thinking of joining T.H.E.M. - I was reccomended by one of the people in my dorm (two current Irish C-ers are part of it.) A friend of mine is also pondering joining it.

We heard that the meeting this Thursday is canceled, due to movie night. (Third Thursday of each month, right?) If my friend and I wanted to get involved, is there some way we can find out about this mythical movie night?
