trenchkamenDavid Bowie is stalking me. I heard his music in the two stores I entered today. For the record, I am totally okay with this. +1000LP instant gain for anything David Bowie. Then again, it's also just really strange to hear "Magic Dance" played in Fascinations, and I did sing and dance to it next to a case full of glass dildos. It was surreal.
I want to dye my hair dark blue when it gets a little longer. Maybe an inch more. It looks better now; I can mess it up and get that punkish look I like.
I made dinner tonight. Fried rice. It actually tasted really good, given that I derived my recipe from a fucking video game. I wish I was joking. Dad ate most of it. I got it into my head earlier this week (note: this may or may not have had anything to do with playing Harvest Moon) that I wanted to make omelette rice, and damn it, I did make omelette rice. Sort of. It just turned into fried rice with some egg. I should do it more often. It will probably be easier when I'm not fending off three cats from wolfing down chicken.
The rest of the week has been insanely hectic, as will this upcoming week. Thesis prospectus is due next Monday, along with two exams, and I wish my second reader would get back to me on whether or not he still wants to be my second reader. Picking at grad school applications. GRE subject exam later in October, along with a retake of the general test. Prospectus for my "broader impact" requirement is due yesterday (though there technically isn't a due date).
