Apparently I can get into Japanese 102 if I learn 75 Kanji by the start of the semester. That test was brutal. It was a rapid-listening test and I ended up writing one of my answers backwards.

I had been having a frustrating time at ASU getting held up in construction traffic, being late to my exam, not having my documents available at Alphagraphics, not having the professor be there when I went back to talk, not being able to find the place to validate my ticket, not having cash, and having to walk around the huge area of police tape to get to an ATM down the road, but everything ended up being nullified when the guy in The Chuckbox said I could have my soda for free. I guess that's what I get for wearing a relatively tight shirt and looking dead and hot. The "it's 115*F and humid" kind of hot, not the "wowz I'd do me if I was me" type of hot. It's the kind of thing I would have expected in Pampa, not Tempe.

I have a dentist appointment tomorrow at 9 AM. Whose idea was that.

Finally got the internet up and running again. I think COX has been fizzling out since the hella storm last night.

[livejournal.com profile] keichisfuuma and [livejournal.com profile] xcerebraledemax went clothes shopping with me last night and helped me (god knows I need the help) look beautiful, and the latter is making me a kickass Ichabod Crane-esque vest. Because she's awesome and I owe her, like, a blowjob or ten. I've always loved vests, but since watching Sleepy Hollow with my mom a few nights ago my passionate love for Depp's wardrobe in that movie hit me full-force.

Yeah. I've been in a shopping fiend mode lately. It happens maybe once a year. And for me that means three pairs of pants and a handful of tops, usually. Buffalo Exchange had kickass neckties, and God knows I don't have enough of those already. They were Gothik-striped.

I can see the floor of my room now. Maybe I should post pictures, or something. I like how my bed is back in the far corner opposite the door now. That's always where I gravitate in any given room. I like corners. I feel more comfortable when I'm detached and can see the entire room. And when my back's up against the wall. Learned it in the prison showers.

I think I got ripped off at Spencer's yesterday with my incense. The two packs I bought were already opened and rather empty. But what I did get is strong. No wonder it's in the stoner section. It would probably succeed in covering up even the pot-smell. I was afraid I was going to set off the smoke alarm, if it even works anymore.

Oh, yeah, as stolen from [livejournal.com profile] air_and_angels:

Whut whut. Except I know few people who don't enjoy how technology improves their quality of life. I know quite a few people who complain about the ways in which it harms their quality of life, but I've never heard a negative peep about the improvements.
