Yoinked from [livejournal.com profile] xcerebraledemax and [livejournal.com profile] voodoobob.

If you have time... If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want, either good or bad. I promise not to come after you with a spatula, either way. When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you.

I have never met you, so I have no memories of you as yet. That aside, you are one of the more interesting people I have on my flist.

We haven't met just yet, but I'd have to say that one of the more memorable times can I think of is when we talked on the phone for the first time as you were driving around your old neighborhood in Texas. We talked of digging in limestone and calculus and climbing trees. And I was able to hear your voice for the first time. That was cool.

I remember that very well too. I'm sorry that I'm not so great over the phone. It was surreal to hear your voice after having known you since freshman year.

Well, it's not karma so much as the attitude of being able to dish out and take things. We do have a doctrine of trying to help the writing community as a hole.

Seriously we do.

who do you mean by 'we'? the ficbitching community?

Yeah. It's on paper that we exist to aid the community and wake up bad writers through unsparing snark, but there's a huge element of point-and-laugh.

a huge element of point and laugh?! I doubt anyone ever contacted the author of the fics they bitched at and made a less humorous, more educating note of the wrong things in the fic. one paper aside, I think some of the people there act only for thier own humor.

Ummmm. I remember the post you made on the Neko way back when that bugged the artists of the forum to draw self-portraits. I'd never tried one before. That was pretty cool.

S'hard to come up with memories of someone who I've only met in passing many many many times via forums and LiveJournal. ^^;

Um liek a brief, fuzy image of you standing next to Christianne at Sunsplash.

Also, the scene at Christina Nordstrom's house. You came inside the house, Escaflowne was somehow brought up, I mentioned how I liek totally hailed Zaibach, you was all, "WAIT. YOU like Zaibach?!", and I was like, "Hell yeah!", and you *hugged* me. I felt soooooo special. We so rocked hardcore, catching that dog. Why didn't we shack up that night?

And then there's that business of the tricky variety, where you leant a crying, pitiful, lost soul a helping hand and good, true advice. You also let me crash at your place. That was cool. Most would say it was a waste of time, what with putting imaginary people's names in tabs on some love-match site, but it's one of my greatest memories.

And this has absolutely nothing to do with anything...

Oh, I remember the name-match thing.

I have no idea why we didn't shack up, but you did sleep under my trenchcoat and threaten to stalk me.

God damn that's a good coat.

Ah, memories. I have so many, as they are very important to me. I'm sure everyone has a lot, since they are what make up ones life story. How do you choose one? Naturally, the first meetings always come to mind. What is weird is, I have a photogenic memory when it comes to that. Every person I know, I can tell you when, where, and what was said at our first meeting. For you, it was at the Christmas party that xcerebraledemax mentioned. I remember the specific moment when we all sat around listening to various anime tunes and talking about what we liked, and I was thinking "This person is so smart and cool!" Yet, you were kinda quiet, and as I was around you more, I mentioned that you were becoming less mysterious to me. You said "I ruined my image you had of me, didn't I?" But you didn't ruin anything, I have come to realize how awesome you are. When around you, I always feel like I want to be your friend, but could not measure up. So I always end up doing something dumb or immature. So to be honest, I felt like I'm the one that ruined any good image I had. But you are always so nice, and patient, encouraging and willing to help. And with all those memories of being the driver (chauffeur) for the group, surely everyone will recognize your helpfulness. Ok, I rambled a lot! Gomen Ne! C-ya! ~Risu no Ninja
